Papa Update

So...I was going back over my blog, and realized I haven't given an update on my grandfather in like almost 8 weeks! So...here goes nothin.....

I'll start back at the beginning....my grandfather was diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of November. They didn't know what kind, or where it was, just that his counts were high, and we would have to wait for him to have all sorts of scans and meet with the oncologist. WELL...it turned out it was lung cancer. And it did in fact spread. He has tumors all over his brain, in his bones, lungs, spine....just basically one big cancerous mess. And it is a fast progressing kind of cancer....not good news.

The treatment plan started immediately. He began radiation, and he went for that daily....and he started with chemo, which he goes to every Tuesday. He is staying strong, and trying to stay positive; as is everyone else in the family. My grandparents have decided to stay in Florida for now.

At this point, he has finished his first round of radiation, will be finished with his first round of chemo next Tuesday, and when he went and had his blood work done last week and met with the oncologist yet again, the oncologist said he couldn't be more please with how the cancer is reacting to the treatments. He also said that Papa is doing better than 99% of the people who come in with cancer as bad as he has it. YAY!!

Our family has really come together with this, and has tried to have someone down there with them the entire time so that my Nanny doesn't have to take him to all the treatments by herself. We were down there until the end of November, then one of my aunts went down, followed by one of my cousins, then another cousin, and now another aunt just got down there last night. My parents will be going down next week to spend the New Year with them, and I just found out yesterday my mom has decided she is going to stay until about mid to late January. No one else has planned on going, and she said she felt someone needed to be there, and she is the only one who can take the time off....she can work from there just as easily as she can work from here....it's just someone else will have to physically take people to look at properties. (She's a realtor)

So I guess that's all the information I have up until now. They're trying to fatten Papa up....he's getting to skinny my cousin Chris said. So, buying lots of high fat things...and he's drinking protein shakes mixed with whole milk and ice cream. Ha! Wish someone would think I needed to be fattened up! That's his silver lining in all this....all the ice cream. :)

Okay, time to get back to work...just wanted to give an update as I was thinking about it.

Merry CHRISTmas!!

HO HO HOLIDAYS!

WHOA! The Holidays are full speed ahead! Hard to believe Christmas is NEXT WEEK!! I have been so worn out lately. When telling a friend of mine what my plans were for Christmas week...she was like well no wonder you're pooped! It's go go go all the time with my husband and I starting Friday! Here is our plans for the next 10 days......

Friday December 18 - Celebrating Christmas with friends of ours and their two kids

Saturday December 19 - Hubby's work Holiday Party

Sunday December 20 - My parents friends Holiday Party (might not go to that one)

Monday December 21 - Cousins Christmas...something my cousins started a few years ago where we all get together without the aunts & uncles and have dinner, drink, and just enjoy each others company.

Tuesday December 22 - Holiday Dinner with our close friends. I'm pretty excited about it...it's at our house, and we're going to have an Italian feast. Lasagna, baked ziti, garlic bread, salad....YUM-O! And I have to come up with a dessert too. :)

Wednesday December 23 - Thornton Tree Trimming...a new tradition with hubby's immediate family. We are going to trim a tree every year, bring an ornament for said tree, and also a gift to exchange.

Thursday December 24 - CHRISTMAS EVE....starts at 10am at my parents house...we eat at 2, everyone leaves by 4, and we do presents with my brother and his wife, and our parents. Then at 8pm we go to hubby's Grandpa's for Christmas with the entire Thornton clan. Santa comes, gifts are given, it's a great time! THEN...at 10:30pm we go to church for midnight mass. It's so beautiful. :) I Love it.

Friday December 25 - CHRISTMAS DAY....begins at our house....breakfast for our immediate family, his parents, and siblings, and my parents. Then we don't have anything else to do until 3 when we go to my mom's side of the family.

And then the chaos is done. SHEW! It's definitely going to be a busy week, but one filled with love, laughter, and friendships. I'm going to be exhausted, but I'll enjoy every minute of it. :)

Hope your Holidays are filled with warmth and love. And may you be as blessed as I am this Holiday Season.

Mild Overreaction...

Okay, so I don't take anything back from my last post. I meant every single word. But after a few days of mellowing out, and really thinking hard about how blessed I am in my life, that is where I'm at. Mellow, and truly blessed. No more baby talk for a while. I'm going to focus on the Holiday's, and all the good things that I am surrounded with in my life. I have friends that I can count on, my family is the best, and not to mention my hubby who is the most wonderful person in all of the world. So there is where I'm staying....

My weekend was AWESOME. Friday night was girls night out with the HollyDays boutique. I went with my mama and some girlfriends. It was so much fun. I got a few Christmas gifts, and had so much fun being out with my girls.

Saturday morning started early....I had to work Breakfast with Santa for Hollydays. It was so much fun. The kids were SO EXCITED! We had a woman there from "Shine" and she sang Christmas songs, and as she was singing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer....Santa came out saying his line - "Rudolph won't you guide my sleigh tonight"....oh man...the kids went BERZERK! It was great. Lots of fun.

Saturday night was another girls night...but this time we just went to my besties house, we had a pampered chef party, ornament exchange, and watched Elf. Which by the way if you've never seen it, it's HILARIOUS! I highly recommend it.

Sunday was just a lazy day. Went to Sam's club, hung out with hubby watching movies, and then over to mom & dad's for dinner. Nice and relaxing. :) Which I really needed after trying to play catch up with work last week.

So, that's all there is at this point. Lots of fun Holiday things coming up. :) CAN'T WAIT!!

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I would just like to say that EVERYONE is getting pregnant but me. I had a friend tell me she was pregnant right before I left on my vacation...and now I have found someone else that is pregnant and due next August. I might lose my mind....correction....I am losing my mind. And I think emotionally dying a little bit inside.

Time Flies...

Okay, so it's been like FOREVER since I have blogged!! So much has happened since then....first, I have a new sister-in-law. My baby brother got married. It was an absolute blast. For anyone who isnt' yet married...beach wedding is the way to go...seriously...no muss, no fuss, and it was absolutely gorgeous! I didn't know this before, but also my brother got married on our grandparents 62nd wedding anniversary! Which in and of itself is totally awesome, but also my brother and Papa share the same birthday! Extra special. :)
Speaking of my grandfather....we got more bad news regarding his cancer. He has a fast progressing kind, and it did start in his lung. He has started radiation and chemo, and hopefully will be home the week after Christmas. :( So lots of prayers sent this way would be so very appreciated....

Okay, on to happier things....so yes Florida was fantastic...got to spend so much time with my hubby. It was very nice. It was weird to come back to work actually because we had been together almost every second of every day for 12 days! It was weird to be without him...but I find myself adjusting well and getting back into the swing of our routine. In case you didn't read my previous post, this weekend is the Junior League Hollydays event! It is going to be fantastic, and I hope anyone who is interested in coming does! Friday night I'll be there, and also Saturday morning...I am helping with the breakfast with Santa...I am reading Polar Express! Super excited about that. :) THEN on Saturday night is Girls night with my girlfriends....we're having a Pampered Chef party, AND an ornament exchange. I'm really excited about that too. Then on Sunday I have GOT to get my house back in order....I swear...being gone for 10 days it's amazing how long it takes you to get everything sorted through! We haven't even unpacked yet! Ridiculous....the fridge is empty....its just ridiculous! Okay...time to get back to the grind. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I'll talk to you soon!!

Hollydays - - THIS WEEKEND!!!

YOWZA!!

Okay, so 48 hours from now I will be in Florida for my brothers wedding. YAY! I started packing yesterday, and have a mental list of all the things I have left to pack before we leave. My goal is to get that finished up tonight...then all I'll have to do is wake up at 3 am, call Delta, and see if we can get on the 6am flight outta here! I would like to be there as soon as possible so I can spend some time with my Papa before the wedding festivities are full blown under way.

Tomorrow is going to be a big day for our family as far as Papa goes. He went and met with his oncologist last Tuesday, and basically there are two options. 1 is that he has a slow progressing form of the cancer and we can blast it with some chemo or radiation or whatever. The other option is that it is a fast progressing form of cancer and there really won't be anything we can do. It is very scary, and my mom is down there now, and she says she is fearing the worst. Just basically it sounds so horrible.....anyway....we find out at the oncologist tomorrow if the cancer has spread to his brain. He is having a biopsy done on Wednesday, and we will find out those results on Friday. God love my poor brother. He is stressing over his wedding, and over our grandfather too. I just feel for him. Any words of advice or anything encouraging would be much appreciated, and I would gladly pass it along to him.

So anywho....hope all is well....I don't know if I'll be blogging while on vacation, so if not I hope everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving, and is truly thankful for all the blessings we have.

xoxo

Friday, November 6, 2009

We just heard from my papa....it's cancer. Two spots on his lungs. On the silver lining of things...they didn't see that it had spread anywhere else. Lord please help us through this battle.

I swear to Goodness....

Once you think you've found peace with something all he%$ breaks loose....once you think you're having a great day....one moment changes everything. This morning started out great...it's Friday, it's sunny, and very warm outside for beginning of November. Then at 11:15am I got the phone call. It was my dad...my grandfather wasn't feeling well this week, and my grandmother finally took him to the hospital this morning. My mom and I discussed it this morning and came to the conclusion it might be swine flu....congested, achey, not eating and losing weight. Sadly we were wrong. It's cancer. I really don't know what else to say aside from that. He had all sorts of scans and tests done today, and we won't know how to go about treatment until he hears back from his doctor sometime this afternoon. At this point all we can do is pray and try to stay positive. To quote my brother.... "Let's keep in mind that doctors always lead off with the worst, because it looks better to come back and give good news than bad news. So let's keep positive thoughts and prayers for good news". So this time...I am asking for prayers...I ask for strength for my grandfather to battle the fight he's going to have....and I ask for strength for my grandmother to get through this....Lord knows she's not an emotional rock...and I fear for her. And lastly, please just keep my entire family in your prayers...I know God wouldn't have given us this battle if He didn't think we could handle it...but any thoughts you could send our way would definitely be greatly appreciated.
Love to all xoxo

So Very Lucky

I just want to stop and think a minute of how truly blessed I am. I have a husband who loves me, cares for me, and always puts my needs before his own. I have not a house, but a home we have created together. We have two incomes to help us pay bills, and occasionally do fun things together. We are both happy and healthy even though I know sometimes I nag him...I complain when he makes fun of me...or laughs at me (he says with me...but sometimes I'm not laughing)...I get upset over stupid things that shouldn't matter, and yet he stays with me. He loves me unconditionally, as I do him. I just want to thank God for bringing him into my life, and for always providing for us. I love my life, I love my husband, I love my God.

DOGS FREE TO GOOD HOME

Both are males. The first is a pitbull, who is approximately two years old. The second is a black lab-mix and is approximately six months. They appear to have just been dropped off by their previous owner, but I don't think they were abused at all, as both are extremely sweet and affectionate. They are both neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped and free to a good home!

If interested please please PLEASE let me know and I'll get you in contact with the couple who has them in their possession at this point.

Window's Wide Open

ALLELUIA! Prayers worked!! Doctor said everything looked fantastic...apparently, whatever she thought she "felt" or whatever wasn't the way it was. WOOHOO!! So the ultrasound went great. They took some pictures and put them in my file...I got to see my little egg....hard to imagine an egg being cute...but I felt such pride seeing it. I asked if they saw any babies in there...and my doctor joked she only saw two of 'em. ha! Hubby would die....lol.

So we're back on track. Had a little blip on the radar, but things look great, I feel great, and hopefully great = baby.

Thanks for all the prayers and continued support as we walk through this journey.

Door Closes...See Window...Window's Locked....

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so we spent too much money. We were going to overdraw our account. THEN, my husband receives a check in the mail for a survey he took in just the right amount to deposit into our account. No overdraw. Which makes me think, HE does provide for us. He is our strength, rock, and saviour. Yes, I'm talking about Jesus, and God...not hubby. Although he does provide for me.....

When he received the check in the mail hubby said to me...isn't it funny that whenever we are about to overdraw our account, somehow we wind up with money to cover it? Yes I said....very funny. Naturally, being who I am, I begin to think about our baby journey. I felt at peace with it. I know that when HE is ready for us to conceive, we will. And I felt amazing all day yesterday. And then today happens.

I had my first apointment with my new obgyn this morning. I explained my medical history, and told her that my previous doctor used to tell me that my cervix liked to hide. So there I am....in THE ROOM...feet in stirrups (not pants), feeling slightly uncomfortable, when she says, "I think I want to send you in for an ultrasound". She must have heard the panic in my voice as I said "what for?"...because she then very nicely explained that I have some "abnormality" in my hooha...that makes me "special"...and she just wants to check it out to make sure it isn't something we need to worry about. W T F ?!?!? I mean jeez...I have been seeing gynos since what....17 or 18 years old?? NO ONE THOUGHT TO MENTION TO ME THAT MY HOOHA WAS SPECIAL?!?!

So, needless to say...I am now incredibly freaked out. I don't ask for prayer...but please keep me in your thoughts....as I try to figure out what on earth is going on. I have an ultrasound next week.....I swear...if it isn't one thing....it's another....

What Happened to Fall?!?!

So it's FREEZING. I don't know what happened the the nice cool sunny fall weather, but it has been replaced by chilled days rainy days and super cold nights. :( Makes me sad. Also makes me want November to get here even faster so we can go on vacation! CAN'T WAIT!! SUPER EXCITED!! I created a list of all the top places in Naples, food, and places to go so that maybe when we're down there hubby and I can go and do things that we haven't done before. :) I also added a little blurb about Naples, and some interesting facts. Here is the list......

Ritzy Naples is located in Florida's near-tropical southwest corner. With white beaches, ample water access, and upscale restaurants and shops, this is an ideal place for those seeking a splash of summer in January or for business people in search of a hospitable setting for corporate meetings. The city's swank shopping districts, Third Street and Fifth Avenue, boast some of the top boutiques and specialty shops on Florida's Gulf Coast. Naples also features a potpourri of fine dining options, where award-winning chefs dazzle diners with fresh, innovative cuisine. Want to get back to nature? The parklands surrounding Naples, including Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary and Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park, offer numerous opportunities for recreation and exploration. But the big draw here is the wide, sandy beach. Ranging from the exciting bustle of popular Naples Pier to the less-congested Barefoot Beach or Clam Pass, no trip to Naples is complete without a stop along the scenic coastline.

Interesting Facts

1.
Naples received its name in the late 19th century when advertisers boasted that it rivaled the bay of Naples, Italy.

Gulf of Mexico .
3. The opening of Naples
Hotel drew many of the rich and famous, including Thomas Edison, Rose Cleveland and Harry Firestone, and jumpstarted the town's real estate market.
4. Bill Cosby and numerous other world-class performers have graced the stage at the Philharmonic Center of the Arts, a cultural gem of the Naples area.
5. Think green.... Over 80 championship courses make Naples a desirable
golfing destination for both leisure and competition.
6. Well known residents of Naples include Jane Seymour, Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Capriati, Mike Ditka and Don Shula.
7. From lizards to lions to lemurs, numerous fascinating creatures in an enchanting botanical garden greet visitors at the nationally accredited Naples Zoo. Highlights of the park include the tiger forest and the primate exhibition
cruise.
8. Explore the Everglades! Naples is surrounded by natural wonders that are easily accessible on an airboat tour through the island habitats of alligators, dolphins, manatees, bears, and birds.
9. Need a break from the sand and sunshine? With cutting edge architecture, a glass dome conservatory and 15 galleries of fine art from a variety of cultural backgrounds, the Naples Art Museum adds a cosmopolitan dimension to this popular vacation spot.
10. Fond of furry friends? The Teddy Bear Museum of Naples whimsically displays 5000+ bears of all kinds including crystal, wood and marble forms of the beloved critter.

For all you men

Just an FYI....when you go out of town, and you don't speak to your wife hardly at all due to her being at work, and you at a convention, do NOT call her up in the evening and only speak to her for 2 minutes and 8 seconds. When wife's not happy....no one is happy.

Another month....Another visit.....

Well, we are getting ready to start our 5TH MONTH! Or rather 5th cycle of trying to get pregnant. Each month is highly anticipated, followed by a let down. We've decided we're not going to "try" for a while. Although, we won't be doing anything to prevent us from getting pregnant, I think part of the problem is I am just so anxious about it. So no more trying to get pregnant...just enjoying life and my hubby.

Speaking of hubby, he left this am to go to Atlanta for the week. Some convention or something about different things that they sell at the store. So I'm all alone this week...just me and the poochies. :)

The weekend was VERY busy. Friday night we had dinner with hubby's brother and his partner, and we also kept my bff's baby boy. LOVE HIM. :) It was a fun time. And of course the food was fantastic. Although, it was difficult to eat while entertaining a 6 month old. If it had been my baby, probably would have gotten a sitter. But I did enjoy every minute of being with him. He is such an adorable little thing...just makes my heart melt looking into his sweet face.

Saturday morning was up early and getting ready to go. We had a 2 hour drive to Jasper, Indiana for hubby's family reunion. It was...OK. We drove 2 hours to spend time with his family, which we could've done with a 20 minute drive. I mean it's possible I guess that some people hung out with other colored shirts (we were blue), but hubby and I stuck with our blue peeps. We ended up staying the night at a hotel, and quite frankly....that was the best part. We stayed up late with his aunt, two uncles, and some cousins. We had an absolute ball.

Sunday was up early again to head back to the 'ville. We did some cleaning, hubby's brother came over and hung up some pictures, I did some grocery shopping, and then we went to my aunt & uncles house for dinner. We are planning my brother's couple's shower, which is in 2 weeks. Coming up quick I tell you what! In just 4 weeks we'll be getting last minute stuff for our trip to FLORIDA! Can not wait. :) I guess that's all for now. I'll talk to you soon. :)

Oh Man.......

Okay, so I am pretty much IRATE right now. All over one stupid elliptical machine. And my dumb brothers stupid control issues. He would rather something (that I own by the way) sit unused in the basement of his house (that he doesn't live in by the way) than me be able to use it. I am so upset and mad and just frustrated with the situation. Of course my mother defends him....like she always does. "Well, clearly there is some underlying issue" Well, mother, of course there is. HE is a a control freak. He doesn't want me to have it just because he thinks its his. So he has my elliptical held hostage in his house, he actually owns a treadmill that is just sitting in my parents basement. Why you ask don't you go and get that? Funny story called I tried that too. Well, if you're using the elliptical then can't I go and get the treadmill? No, apparently he runs outside and it will be winter soon and he'll be cold. ARE YOU FREAKIN KIDDING ME?!?!

This is the life I live. This is the person I have to deal with. Here I am, busting my butt to get his shower taken care of and looking fantastic, and I get treated like some stranger. I told him last night that I was going to go and pick up the elliptical. He told me he would call the cops on me. ARE YOU FREAKIN KIDDING ME?!?!

Allegedly my mother says he called her back last night and said I could go and pick up the elliptical, that it wasn't worth it to him. Seriously?!?! Because like 5 minutes ago it was so worth it you were willing to call the cops on your own sister. So guess what....I'm not taking it. If he has some control issue regarding this dang machine then just keep it. It's not like he called me up and said you know what....I'm an asshole...just go and get it. I don't know what I was thinking. HELLO!!!

Okay so yeah....that's all I'm going to say about that. I am really freakin pissed off with my brother at this point. I'm supposed to give a toast for his wedding....don't really feel up to it now. As far as I'm concerned I"ll see him when I have to....but I"m not going to make any sort of initiative to see him otherwise. Why on earth would I want to spend time hanging out with someone who treats me so horrible?? THE END

Buzz Buzz Buzz....Busy as a Bee....

Oh my goodness! Fall is officially here in the bluegrass state! It is the beginning of OCTOBER! Completely insane. This year is absolutely FLYING by. We have had so much going on this last month. I've been busy with coaching...Junior League is starting to pick up...not to mention, we began work on finishing our basement! VERY exciting. Hubby and my dad have been working at night after they get home from work. God love 'em. I'm in charge of drinks. ;) They've already completed 1/2 of the entire side wall of the basement, and one new wall for the bedroom. :) I cannot wait for it to be completed. It is going to be so fantastic. We're going to have a bedroom, bathroom, bar area, and just a huge open space for entertaining and TV. And my one thing that I want is window seats that lift for storage over by the bay window. Hubby doesn't like that idea much, but I think it's starting to grow on him when I go through all the things that we can store there! We are going to have one odd shaped space. It is 2' x 8'-10' depending. It's too big for a closet, but too small to be useful. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

So as you can see, we have been crazy busy at home, and I've also been CRAZY busy with work. This past week we went to a Motivational Seminar. It was absolutely fantastic! We listened to Zig Ziegler, Terry Bradshaw, Rick Pitino, Laura Bush, Colin Powell, and some others that I can't remember their names. It was very inspirational, and interesting to hear what all of those people had to say. Some were funny, some were serious, but all in all it was a great day.

Well, I guess that's all I have to say for now. I'll talk to you soon!

2 MONTHS!

Holy Moly! 2 months from today my baby brother is getting MARRIED! Crazy time. It's hard to believe it's so close....yet to think of being on vacation, it seems SO FAR away. It's nice to have something to think about that isn't baby related though. I still feel everyone is getting pregnant but me, I recently found out a couple of girls from high school who just had babies and I didn't even know they were pregnant! So seriously...EVERYONE! Anywho....back to vacation talk. :) We leave November 18 for Naples, Florida. I cannot wait. We'll be down there for 10 glorious days. The wedding is on the 22, so from the 23 - 27 we can do whatever we want to. I suppose I should start putting together an "itinerary" for hubby and myself....so we can make sure to cram in as much fun and relaxation as possible. I think he's going to take his golf clubs....he wasn't going to, but now he is I think...which works just fine for me...I'll go to the beach and read. :) Man o Man I cannot wait. ;) Here are some pictures of the beach...from the last time we went....almost 3 years ago!! Tell me you don't just absolutely love it. I'll talk to you soon!!
Okay so I have now added the photos, and I WISH I WAS THERE NOW!!!

GRRR

And FYI...everyone and their, for lack of a better word, mother is either getting pregnant or having babies. Like seriously...EVERYONE!

Man o' Man

Well...another month....no baby. It's hard to not get discouraged. I'm trying very very hard to stay positive, and upbeat, because the reality of the situation is we haven't been trying THAT long, but it wears on you. Especially since people keep asking me about it. The funny part about that is hubby wanted to tell the entire world we were trying to get pregnant. He didn't want anyone to think our little bundle of joy was a "surprise". Yet, he says when we find out we are pregnant he doesn't want to tell anyone for the entire first trimester. I told him there was no way that was going to happen. I mean let's just look at the facts here. Odds are, I'm going to be sick. Clearly people at work are going to find out. Secondly, I had a cousin who miscarried last summer...and I'll be darned if he has to call my mother and tell her I'm having surgery the following day because I had a miscarriage. I don't want her to find out I'm pregnant that way. How horrible. So I'm attempting to stay positive, and enjoying the "trying" process. :) Trying it is...

Funny Story

Okay, so hilarious story. I took a pregnancy test yesterday. Negative. Hubby was also not home, so I kind of "hid" it in the bathroom garbage can. By hid, I mean like not well. haha.

So, after he gets home and we get dinner started, I am sitting on the sofa reading my book. I had left some directions on the counter for him to take a look at (we're going to a housewarming party this weekend way out far away), and he sits down next to me on the sofa and says have you even read these directions. I was like yeah, of course I have, shouldn't be too difficult. And then he starts reading from the directions, "99% effective from date of missed period". He had pulled the directions out of the pregnancy test box in the closet to read them to me. THEN tells me that I must hold said pregnancy test in my urine stream for no longer than 5 seconds, and if I pee in a cup then it's 20 seconds. I looked up in surprise and said "TWENTY?!?!?!" Of course I had peed in a cup, and on the last pregnancy test it was the same 5 seconds so that's all I did. I was like OH MY GOSH I COULD'VE HAD A MISREAD I SHOULD TAKE ANOTHER ONE. He was like um...no...I really think you should wait until you have a missed thing.

So there's my funny story of the day.

WEEKEND

HOLA PEEPS! Hard to believe it's Wednesday, and I'm just now getting to blogging about the weekend! Oh how I LOVE LOVE LOVE long weekends. :) We left for the lake on Thursday night after work. We got down there and it was just nice to just sit and be just us. Then Friday we got up and drove to Columbia, KY to visit hubbys friend who is living on a farm there. We got to see all sorts of animals. Kittens, horses, donkey, pony, goats, fainting goats...and like seriously the biggest Bull Mastiff I have ever seen in my whole life! It was a lot of fun. Saturday hubby stayed at the house to watch the UK game, I went out on the boat with my brothers-in-law and some friends who were down for the weekend. It was a lot of fun. Nice weather, went for a boat ride. Just a great day. THEN when we got back up to the house we had a Mexican Fiesta! It was FANTABULOUS! Food was great, company was great, and afterwards we played board games. Talk about a perfect night. We had so much fun!! Sunday was gloomy. We stayed in the house pretty much all day. Played some games, and then got hooked on some show on I think it was TLC about female police officers...I swear, you get addicted pretty quick! Then we left Monday morning. It was rainy and gloomy again, so we figured might as well head home. So that was our weekend. I'm already looking forward to the next one, and one week from today my sister-in-law and her family are coming to visit! I can't wait to see them. :) I'm just so super excited. YAY! That's all for now. Talk to you later. :)

BLECH

One more thing.....Okay, so since going off the pill I have noticed my complexion is getting worse and worse and worse! Seriously, it's driving me completely insane! I can't hardly stand it. I feel like I'm back in middle school. I hope the people at work don't make fun of me like the kids did!

Oh What A Difference....

OH what a difference a week makes! I am completely zen about everything wedding at this point. Things are quickly moving alone. Registered check...shower invite sent out for family shower...check (even though they are SO HIDEOUS!)....you'd think this was my wedding. HA! So yes, I am now completely at peace with everything. The bachelorette party FINALLY has a date, although we're having to change locations...the weekend we wanted to go to Nashville Vanderbilt has a home game...every single hotel is BOOKED! It's pretty crazy. So once we get a destination set we should be good to go. :)

I have chosen the invitations for the shower I'm helping on with my future sister-in-laws sister. And let me tell you...THEY'RE FANTASTIC! I am so incredibly excited about them. :) I think they're really going to love them. And they're so much better than a piece of paper printed on a printer with a palm tree on it (and no I'm not kidding). :)

This upcoming weekend (Labor Day) is going to be fantastic! We are going to the lake with my brother and his fiance, and hubby's brother and his partner. SUPER EXCITED! We already have Saturday night planned as Mexican night with some friends who will also be down there. Margaritas and Mexican food YUM YUM YUMMY! Then on Sunday, it'll just be us and my brother and his fiance, I think we're going to head over to the state lodge to eat a buffet dinner and just chill. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. :)

Well, I guess that's all for now. I have to get ready to go home. I'll talk to you soon!!

I'M SICK OF DEALING WITH WOMEN! PUT YOUR BIG GIRL PANTIES ON AND QUIT COMPLAINING!!!

OKAY....so my title pretty much puts it all out there. Here is the background...my brother is getting married. Great. He has met a wonderful girl who I love very much, and am so incredibly excited that she will be a member of my family. HOWEVER, the wedding planning process is about to do me in. The organization on a scale of 1-10 is -500, we are trying to squeeze in two showers, and a bachelorette party between now and November. Well thats a long time you're saying...doesn't seem to be a big deal...WELL... it is. My lovely sister-in-law to be (who I do love very much) wants everyone to be able to attend everything. Which in theory is great. In reality not so much. People have lives, and things going on, and things come up. So the only weekend everyone in the bridal party is available for her bachelorette she had something planned. She said not an issue I'll rearrange. Great. Apparently, not so much because this morning we received an email from her sister saying how horrible it was that THE BRIDE was having to not go to something she had planned. Which in an ideal world wouldn't happen, but the fact of the matter is SHE (the bride) wants everyone to be able to attend. However, HER SISTER is making me not want to do anything until it's time to board a plane to go to Florida for the wedding. We (the bridesmaids) have already received a facebook message from the sister regarding wedding planning....we are not to even bother the bride with talks of showers, shoes, and bachelorette parties, all correspondence is to go through her (sister). I just really feel so incredibly put out, here I am in someone else's wedding, and am not to talk to them about said wedding...WHAT?!?!

So here I am....frustrated, and wanting to say something, but not sure about it, I don't want to speak for everyone, because who knows....maybe I'm the only one who feels put out by this whole thing. But I'm not a person who can just sit by and let someone's childish antics dictate my feelings. I'm not going to do it. Oh Lord....

Why offer with stipulations???

Okay, so I am totally confused. I thought when you offered to do something nice for someone, that's what it was. A gesture to show your support, and love for the person you are offering your niceness to. Why then do people offer to do nice things but with strings attached? I cannot figure it out. I have never offered to do something for someone, and then tried to control it, regulate it, and tell them how and when they can have it. I am so freakin irritated right now. I mean how dumb is that?? WHY OFFER AT ALL?!??!

OH yeah...

And...I keep buying baby stuff on ebay and hiding it. You should see the closet. It's getting ridiculous!

FYI

Just got a very unwelcome visit from my aunt. Hubby's response: "Don't worry....we'll get 'em next time". Gotta love what it must be like to be a man....

Tired Tired Tired

So yeah....not that we had any sort of a crazy weekend or anything, but I'm pooped! Friday after work we met at the grocery, did a little bit of food shopping, and then headed home for a dinner of leftovers. We hung out, watched a little tv, and went to bed extremely early because....

SATURDAY we got up at 6:20am! I have decided to join Junior League, and had to be there at 8am, and hubby decided to go to bible study with my dad at 7am! Needless to say, by the time I got home at 1 I was so incredibly tired. But no time to rest....hubbys cousin had dropped off her daughter for a while, so she played with the dogs and watched tv (such a good well behaved kid...seriously...the best) hubby and I enjoyed our lunch, and then cleaned and I made some cookies. Then later on that afternoon we had some of my cousins over for the FIRST OFFICIAL COUSINS COOKOUT. :) It was a good time. Everybody brought something, and we just hung out. It was just really nice to not have anything structured and to just get to sit and enjoy visiting with everyone who was able to make it. After they all left, I took a shower and was ready for bed seriously at like 7:30, but we had our neighbors over, and wound up not getting into bed until 10. I was like let's sleep in tomorrow.

Apparently sleeping in means 7am, because that is what time I woke up on Sunday. Then my head hurt, I couldn't fall back asleep, hubby was up by 7:30, so we got up and got the puppies up, and started to get ready for the day. Well..I say that, hubby mowed the lawn, and I watched tv all morning. I just couldn't get myself motivated to do anything because I was so tired, but I knew if I fell back asleep I would be useless for the afternoon because I would be GRUMPY. So we watched tv, and then left the house at 2:30 to go to his company picnic. It was down at Slugger Field. It was just ok. The company was good...food not so much. Fortunately, hubby's brother and his partner had invited us over for dinner last night. That was a good time. We had some fantastic food, and even better company :) By the time we left there we wound up getting home a little before 10! We were going to let the dogs sleep with us, but they kept barking so back in their room they went!

So that's our weekend in a nutshell....nothing horribly exciting, definitely fun, and definitely short. Yesterday morning was rough...hard to wake up, and apparently it was also hard for the dogs because they were pooped!!
I'll talk to you later!!

Happy Tuesday!

So... I think I figured out the whole pregnancy test thing....if you take it too early then the hormone doesn't show up! Right??? Yeah...so enough about that......

Well, I had a fantastic weekend. My hubby and I went to the lake. It was probably the best lake weekend of the entire summer. Nice and sunny, hott....but worth it. Super nice to just sit in the water and lounge on my float. We went for a boat ride, and that was great. :) On the way home (2.5 hour drive), it took us 3.5 hours! The 127 yard sale was this weekend. For those of you who don't know about it, it is a yard sale that spans Hwy 127, from like West Virginia all the way down to Alabama or Louisiana or somewhere. Now, to get to the lake, you are essentially on 127 the ENTIRE time. I mean people like slowed down by EVERY SINGLE yard sale to see if they wanted to stop. Seriously! You would go from like 55mph to 10mph in a split second! It's ridiculous. PULL OVER PEOPLE!!

This weekend is going to be fun too. Friday we have nothing, which I always like because you get home from work and just feel like relaxing. And I'll have to go to bed early because I have to be somewhere Saturday morning at 8am!! I have decided to join Junior League, and for those of you who don't know what Junior League is, it is a group of women who do service work, and fundraising to benefit different charities. I'm pretty excited about it. They're a nation wide organization, so even if you don't live in Louisville, your city should have a Junior League. Houston for example has one. :)

After my Junior League meeting I'll have to hurry home and start getting things ready, because hubby and I are hosting a "Cousins Cookout" for my family Saturday evening. Everyone is bringing a dish, and we're going to hang out and just chill out. It should be really fun!

Then on Sunday we have hubby's company picnic. In the past we have gone to such places as Huber's Orchard & Winery and The Louisville Zoo. This year we're going to Louisville Bat's Stadium for a Bat's game. I just hope it's a good time. My favorites are when we go to Hubers...I love Hubers. I'm hoping when my sister-in-law comes into town in October we can take my nephew up there to pick a pumpkin. :) That will be super fun.

So...I guess that's all for now. Talk to you soon!

Friday, August 7, 2009

It's 5 o'clock Somewhere.....

Here I sit at work....3:43pm on a Friday afternoon, and am just COUNTIN down the minutes until it hits 5 so I can head on my weekend way. :) This weekend should be super fun. Hubby and I are heading to the lake. Just us, and our two fur babies. I cannot wait. The weather is supposed to be gorgeous, I'm going to stop and pick up some yummy stuff for the weekend on my way home....it's going to be fabulous!

On another note...no longer purchasing $1 store pregnancy tests. We had a coupon for I think First Response or something...one of those ones that says they're better than the others....and so I picked up a couple of boxes at WalMart last week. I haven't taken a single one. I'm extremely proud of myself. Although...I must say....how does that exactly work?? I mean I get the concept...pee on a stick...or pee in a cup and then place said stick in cup....but my question is....how soon can you take a pregnancy test? The one I have says it works up to 5 days BEFORE your missed aunt flo....but if you have the hormone shouldn't it tell you anytime?? I just don't get it. I am DYING to take one....I want to really really bad, but I think fear has taken over. haha! I dread change. I mean I am super excited to be on this journey that I'm on, but fear of the unknown has definitely taken over...

On a random subject change, I found a new blog at the beginning of the week. I started back at the beginning, and read the entire thing (2 years worth) in 2 days. It was like I couldn't walk away from the computer. It is written by a woman named Rebekah, and it is her and her husbands story of infertility and adoption. I mean I laughed, cried, and felt just about every emotion under the sun while reading her blog. She is an amazing woman, and her faith makes me want to be a better person. My greatest fear has always been what if I can't conceive....but after reading her blog, it makes me feel like even if I can't conceive, it will be okay. I know I am destined to be a mother, and there will be a baby for me. So yeah now that I got all like crazy....I'm gonna go finish up some work so I can have a fantastically carefree weekend. :)
LOVE TO ALL! TTFN!!

OH MY GOSH

So funny story called I totally forgot to mention my nephews birthday!! He turned 1 on Saturday. We were SUPER SAD we couldn't be with him, but fortunately thanks to technology, we got to watch him open his presents that we got him, and also we got to watch him mash his cake. It was so neat. I swear, this new lap top is one fantastic purchase! Everyone should have a webcam if you live away from family. Seriously!!

What a Weekend!

Okay, so yesterday I ended with my arm being sore...I'll get more into that in a minute...but first I want to tell you about my awesome weekend!!

First off, Friday night I went with one of my girlfriends to dinner followed by The Ugly Truth with Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler (YUMMY). The movie was seriously laugh out loud possibly piss your pants fantastic. It was so hysterical...I would go and see it again. I tried to convince my hubby to go back and see it with me sometime, but he informed me he can't stand Katherine Heigl. Which by the way I do not understand at all. I love her, and I loved her ever since I saw her in that movie The Hero or My Father the Hero or something like that. AND THEN she was in that Disney movie Wish Upon a Star or whatever. I really liked that one. Ahh...such a cute film...sort of a freaky friday type deal. So yeah....back to my weekend and less of Katherine Heigl. haha...good to know though I figured out this whole upload a photo thing huH??
OKay....so back to my weekend. Saturday I had my Cheer Clinic....well, on Friday my bestie called me up and asked if I could keep her 4 month old for the day. She and her husband have their own business, and were going to be tiling a bathroom or something like that. I checked with my co-coach, and little J-man came with me to the cheer clinic! He was a complete angel the entire time. Watched all the girls wide eyed...hilarious. He even napped! WHILE THE GIRLS WERE DOING CHANTS! No one could believe it. Needless to say, I think I am going to really enjoy coaching. The girls are so incredibly adorable, I am anxious to get the football schedule so I know when games are, but apparently CSAA is pretty bad about that and you don't get the schedule until the week of the FIRST GAME! Insane??? I think so! OH...so yeah...holding Baby J on Saturday = Sore arm for Me!
Sunday we didn't really do a whole heck of a lot. We worked a puzzle and watched Funny Farm, went to my parents house for dinner, finished up laundry...and that was about it. Yet today I am EXHAUSTED. :) OH well.....se la vie!! Or something. :) Thats all for now...back to work I go. Talk to you soon!!

Things aren't always as they seem.....

So yeah....funny story called I now have a new plan as to when and how I'll "tell" my husband. He came up to me yesterday and said "when it comes time for you to take a pregnancy test I want to be with you". I was like "why? I have this super cute idea of how I"m going to tell you." And he responded with, "Well, it's not just you trying to make a baby....we both are. And I want to be involved in everything."

Well, that about made me cry. So of course that is the new plan. BUT...I did show him the cute little outfit I had purchased that said I love Daddy on it. So we have it hanging in the water closet, so when I take a pregnancy test if it's positive I come out holding the outfit. Still cute...not what I envisioned, but still cute.

OH...also, I saw a friends baby in a facebook photo the other day, and she had on the cutest onesie that said "I LOVE GRAMMIE", and apparently they got it at some store in Lexington that will print whatever you want on them. I think I'm going to pick some of those up as a way to tell my family. That would be super cute. :)

Well, anyway, I just wanted to blog about that while I had a second...I"m sure I"ll be back tomorrow to talk all about the CHEER CLINIC that we had yesterday. :) My arm is sore....I'll tell you all about it. :)

Wednesday, July 29, 2009

Wow

Okay, so now that it's "official" I mean not OFFICIAL OFFICIAL, but we're working on making it official, it's ALL that I can think about. I have taken...not one....not two....but like 5 pregnancy tests. Seriously...every other day I'm like...perhaps today is the day. It's not. haha...and I need to force myself to stop because even though I buy them at the dollar store....if I'm taking one a day that could get costly!!

And I know what you're thinking....you buy your pregnancy tests at the dollar store?!?!? The answer to that is yes, and here's why.....for those of you who know me, you know I worked at a bank for 2.5 years. While there, a girl that I worked with...let's call her "D" (mother of 2), told the rest of us that when she and her husband are trying she stocks up on Dollar Store pregnancy tests, and then when she gets a positive she goes out and spends the $15 on the digital read out one, because a positive is a positive....either you have the hormone or you don't.

So that's my theory now too. I have stocked up on Dollar Store versions (which are quickly depleting), and when I get a positive, then I'll "splurge". :)

I'm super excited....already figuring out ways to tell my friends, family, and most importantly my hubby! None of which I can talk about because I have at least one friend and one family member that I know of that follow my blog! So, I guess I'll tell you how I'm going to tell my husband...BUT NO TELLING! :)

I purchased like oh I don't know.....at least a month ago the cutest little outfit at Babies R Us. It's yellow (gender neutral), has a matching hat and bib, and on the bib it says I LOVE MY DADDY. I'm going to be "doing laundry" and ask him to put away his items, and when he opens up a drawer, there will be the outfit with a card from me, and probably some pampers....the note will say something along the lines of....better make room for me...I'll see you in xxx month or something. I don't know...I'm pretty excited about it. I did a lot of research online for cute ideas. What will probably happen is he'll be there when I take the test and I'll just start screaming. LOL. Oh well...such is life I suppose.

So my husband has been ADAMENT about me cutting back on my coffee. I keep telling him that one cup a day will be fine, and that is all that I drink. I have been adding in extra fruits and veggies (need to buy more V8 splash)...and while reading online the other day I found a list of different kinds of fish, and cheeses that you can and can't eat while pregnant. So he and I were having that conversation the other day and he then starts doing research online, and comes to the conclustion that I should be fine eating whatever cheese that I want. God forbid though I keep drinking coffee. I was like have you lost your mind?!?! It says no queso (at Mexican restaurants), no brie, no feta...and gosh darn it I'm not eatin it. It does however say that you can have up to 200mg of caffeine a day. I drink one cup of coffee in the mornings....with milk and a little splenda (which I may be cutting out...I've been hearing bad things), and I think that will be fine. It's not like I sit at work and drink coffee all day long or anything like that. Oh well....se la vie. :)

Okay, so what was meant to be a short and sweet post has now turned into multiple paragraphs. So yeah, that is all for now. Talk to you soon!!

IT'S OFFICIAL!

So it's official now people....we are trying to have a baby. Lots of prayers sent my way would be very much appreciated. I am anxious, nervous, excited, all rolled into one. It's so weird...I mean I have wanted this for so long, and now that it's here I am just so incredibly nervous. My husband keeps telling me not to think about it so much because if we don't get pregnant right away he doesn't want me to be upset...HELLO...I'M A GIRL! Of course I'll be uspet....I'll just have to try and not tell him or show that I'm upset. I'm hoping with lots of prayers that we will get pregnant right away. Oh man....

So...me being the planner that I am....naturally have picked out all sorts of things that I want to register for when we find out we're pregnant. I put them all on a list and printed it out to show my hubby and it's 15 PAGES!! Who knew babies needed 15 pages worth of stuff! But of course it's like everything I could want. And he was going through the list last night and was going okay okay no no definitely not no okay okay...it was super cute. LOL. We're so different as far as things like that go. I look at something and am like okay that's really cute let's get that, and then he'll look at it and examine and be like well this part is wobbly and it's not really put together very well over here and then I'm like oh...okay well what do you like. LOL. Needless to say, if our wedding registry was any indication, registering for a baby is going to take FOREVER! For kitchen stuff we spent 3.5 hours at Bed Bath and Beyond.....I can see them having to kick us out of Babies R Us. haha!

On another note....I am coaching Cheerleading this fall at my church. I have the 3/4 grade team. I am super excited about it. I met with the other coach last night to discuss some stuff...we're having a 3 hour clinic next Saturday to sort of "bond" as a team, and learn some easy chants and things like that. Then the following week they start at GymTyme, a local gymnastics place, and then the week after that we'll add in their cheer practices at school. I am going to be one busy lady I tell you what.
On top of all the cheerleading stuff, my brother's wedding seems to be coming up at lightning speed! I have to get fitted for my dress tomorrow (which should be interesting considering I'm trying to get pregnant), I'm curious as to what they'll say when I tell them that. I've seen the dress, and quite frankly am a little nervous as to how I'll look with a baby belly in that dress. If I can figure out how to put in a picture I will....they're going to be pink with a pink sash. I DID IT! I POSTED A PHOTO!! WOOHOO!! So yes, this is the dress, this is the dress color, and the sash will be the same pink. So it is by far not anywhere near anything maternity. Any thoughts on this from anyone would be greatly appreciated. :) It is flowy though which makes me think it might be alright, but I'm just nervous about it. So yeah, I guess that's all I have for now. Talk to you soon!!

WOW

Okay, so today I am EXHAUSTED. I am so tired I keep thinking I might actually get sick to my stomach. Seriously. I got 2.5 hours of sleep last night, and let me tell you...now that I'm 26, my body says 2.5 hours of sleep is NOT enough.

We went and saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince at midnight last night. Worth the loss of sleep. The movie was amazing. My friend said it may very well be her favorite, but I don't know....I really REALLY enjoyed the last one. This one though, the acting was done really well, AND, it had some really funny parts to it. If you even half way like Harry Potter you should definitely go and check it out. Worth the $9 admission and $10 snacks.

Okay, so I'm too tired to go on. I'll check ya lata!

Independence Day!

MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY OF THE ENTIRE YEAR IS FINALLY HERE!!

I love love LOVE 4th of July. I grew up with a passion for it...my family is kind of 4th of July crazy. Seriously...like matching t-shirts, shooting guns while drinking beer and bourbon kind of a weekend. WE LOVE IT!

Also this weekend is my first anniversary with my hubby. Hard to believe the first year has already come to an end. We have been through so much, loss of job, unemployment for an extended period of time, sale of a house, building a house, it has just been a crazy year...but with all the ups and downs, there isn't anyone else I would have rather spent my journey with. :) He truly is the love of my life.

As I am going through my planner and making plans for ALL the things I want to do coming up, I find myself already looking to the fall. The weekends fill up quickly, and before you know it November will be here and my baby brother will be getting married. Such a happy time for my family. Lots to look forward to in the upcoming year, a new sister-in-law, my husbands cousins are having babies like crazy, and hopefully we'll get a new nephew or niece from his sister and her husband too! That would be great. I've seen their work....and he's adorable. :)

Well, I just wanted to post a quick note, hope everyone has a safe, happy, and healthy weekend!

Thinking...

So with yesterday having been father's day, we celebrated and honored our father's. While at my husband's grandfather's it was especially difficult since earlier this year we had the unexpected tragic passing of his uncle. I couldn't even look at a photo of him yesterday without my eyes tearing up. Today I have found myself thinking of him most of the afternoon. I just can't seem to get him off my mind, and know once the Holiday's get here it's going to be even worse. Every Christmas he dressed up as Santa Claus and came to give out gifts to all the children of the family....I'm talking every Christmas since my husband was little (he's almost 30). This year will definitely be different. It makes my heart break just thinking about it.

Long Time No Talk

HELLO!! Long time no chat! Almost 3 weeks...WOWZA! Seriously though, nothing really new to report on me....our one year anniversary is coming up in two weeks....so hard to believe it's already been a year. So much has happened....First baby born in immediate family (hubby's nephew), I lost my job, we sold our house, moved in with my parents, I got a new job, moved into our new house. CRAZY! I don't know that I've ever had so much go on in one year. So many ups and downs.

The first weekend of June two of my best friends got married. :) It was wonderful...they had a private ceremony, so we weren't there to actually see them exchange rings or vows, but we went to their reception afterwards and it was fantastic. She looked gorgeous, and he looked very handsome...both so incredibly happy. Makes me excited for my brother's wedding coming up in November. I love weddings....I love dancing at receptions....I just love everything about them...the first look between bride & groom...makes me cry everytime.

Well, I guess I'll keep this one short N sweet since I don't really have much to say. Not a lot is going on...but I'll try to post more often.

Talk to you soon!

SINCE YOU BEEN GOOOONNNNNNNEEEEEE.....

So yeah...it's been a while since I last blogged. But to be perfectly honest, not a lot has been going on up until now. :) So here we go....

Last Thursday my sister-in-law and my nephew came to town! Talk about a fun weekend we had. I swear if my nephew gets any freakin cuter I won't be able to stand it. He has this deep belly laugh, and at almost 10 months old it's enough to make you pee your pants when he does it. I swear....don't think I could love him anymore than I already do.

While she was home we "remodeled" my in-laws kitchen. Now, for those of you who don't know them, this was QUITE the ordeal. There was border to be removed, MANY holes to be patched, paint to go on walls, and cabinets, and then minimizing the clutter of things to go back on the wall. It was quite a transformation, and looks TONS better. I painted a few cabinets, and got the paint going on the walls, but other than that I was on baby duty. Which was really fun. He is like thisclose to crawling and I wanted him to crawl SO BADLY...but alas....he just looked at me and laughed. I mean I was singing songs, had all of his toys...and all he did was hop on his hiney to get over to me. At this point he might walk first. :)

Then came the birthday party. My brother-in-law turned 30 this past weekend as well (hence my sister-in-law in town). Talk about a fun party. I mean I had so much fun...a little too much fun if you ask the Target back on the side of 265 that contains the contents of my appetizers. ;) haha! But seriously, it was such a fun night to hang out with his friends, and our family who were there. Monday was DEFINITELY a slow moving day. I didn't even get out of bed until almost 11am...typically I am up by 9 even on days I don't have to work. Quite a difference.

Now, THIS WEEKEND is going to be crazy fun. Friday night is one of my nearest and dearest friends bachelorette party. We're doing a sleepover at a hotel, dinner, drinks, and concluding with brunch on Saturday morning. But I can't linger around at brunch too long, because also on Saturday I have to get a Baptism present for my (soon to be on Sunday) God-son. :) And I have to get that taken care of before like 2, because at 3, my mom and I are going to the Kenny Chesney concert at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium!! It's going to be an all day affair, and I'm really excited about it. :) So that will probably be a late night, followed by church on Sunday morning where I become a God-mother for the 3rd time (all boys), and hopefully followed by an afternoon of relaxing with my husband....possibly pool side depending on the weather. And then begins another week. Followed by a weekend with a wedding. Wedding season has begun after all....and thankfully this year we only have 3 (that I know of as of today). One in June, one in July, and concluding with one in November. I am REALLY looking forward to November, because that is when my brother is getting married. :) AND...he's doing a destination wedding, so we get a vacation out of it too. Talk about a great time. We'll be in Florida for 10 days. I absolutely cannot wait. We haven't been on a vacation since our honeymoon (almost 1 year ago), and haven't been to the condo in Naples in almost 3 years! cRAzY!! So...I guess that's all I have to say at this point. I'll talk to you soon!!
