So with yesterday having been father's day, we celebrated and honored our father's. While at my husband's grandfather's it was especially difficult since earlier this year we had the unexpected tragic passing of his uncle. I couldn't even look at a photo of him yesterday without my eyes tearing up. Today I have found myself thinking of him most of the afternoon. I just can't seem to get him off my mind, and know once the Holiday's get here it's going to be even worse. Every Christmas he dressed up as Santa Claus and came to give out gifts to all the children of the family....I'm talking every Christmas since my husband was little (he's almost 30). This year will definitely be different. It makes my heart break just thinking about it.

Long Time No Talk
HELLO!! Long time no chat! Almost 3 weeks...WOWZA! Seriously though, nothing really new to report on me....our one year anniversary is coming up in two weeks....so hard to believe it's already been a year. So much has happened....First baby born in immediate family (hubby's nephew), I lost my job, we sold our house, moved in with my parents, I got a new job, moved into our new house. CRAZY! I don't know that I've ever had so much go on in one year. So many ups and downs.
The first weekend of June two of my best friends got married. :) It was wonderful...they had a private ceremony, so we weren't there to actually see them exchange rings or vows, but we went to their reception afterwards and it was fantastic. She looked gorgeous, and he looked very handsome...both so incredibly happy. Makes me excited for my brother's wedding coming up in November. I love weddings....I love dancing at receptions....I just love everything about them...the first look between bride & groom...makes me cry everytime.
Well, I guess I'll keep this one short N sweet since I don't really have much to say. Not a lot is going on...but I'll try to post more often.
Talk to you soon!

SINCE YOU BEEN GOOOONNNNNNNEEEEEE.....
So yeah...it's been a while since I last blogged. But to be perfectly honest, not a lot has been going on up until now. :) So here we go....
Last Thursday my sister-in-law and my nephew came to town! Talk about a fun weekend we had. I swear if my nephew gets any freakin cuter I won't be able to stand it. He has this deep belly laugh, and at almost 10 months old it's enough to make you pee your pants when he does it. I swear....don't think I could love him anymore than I already do.
While she was home we "remodeled" my in-laws kitchen. Now, for those of you who don't know them, this was QUITE the ordeal. There was border to be removed, MANY holes to be patched, paint to go on walls, and cabinets, and then minimizing the clutter of things to go back on the wall. It was quite a transformation, and looks TONS better. I painted a few cabinets, and got the paint going on the walls, but other than that I was on baby duty. Which was really fun. He is like thisclose to crawling and I wanted him to crawl SO BADLY...but alas....he just looked at me and laughed. I mean I was singing songs, had all of his toys...and all he did was hop on his hiney to get over to me. At this point he might walk first. :)
Then came the birthday party. My brother-in-law turned 30 this past weekend as well (hence my sister-in-law in town). Talk about a fun party. I mean I had so much fun...a little too much fun if you ask the Target back on the side of 265 that contains the contents of my appetizers. ;) haha! But seriously, it was such a fun night to hang out with his friends, and our family who were there. Monday was DEFINITELY a slow moving day. I didn't even get out of bed until almost 11am...typically I am up by 9 even on days I don't have to work. Quite a difference.
Now, THIS WEEKEND is going to be crazy fun. Friday night is one of my nearest and dearest friends bachelorette party. We're doing a sleepover at a hotel, dinner, drinks, and concluding with brunch on Saturday morning. But I can't linger around at brunch too long, because also on Saturday I have to get a Baptism present for my (soon to be on Sunday) God-son. :) And I have to get that taken care of before like 2, because at 3, my mom and I are going to the Kenny Chesney concert at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium!! It's going to be an all day affair, and I'm really excited about it. :) So that will probably be a late night, followed by church on Sunday morning where I become a God-mother for the 3rd time (all boys), and hopefully followed by an afternoon of relaxing with my husband....possibly pool side depending on the weather. And then begins another week. Followed by a weekend with a wedding. Wedding season has begun after all....and thankfully this year we only have 3 (that I know of as of today). One in June, one in July, and concluding with one in November. I am REALLY looking forward to November, because that is when my brother is getting married. :) AND...he's doing a destination wedding, so we get a vacation out of it too. Talk about a great time. We'll be in Florida for 10 days. I absolutely cannot wait. We haven't been on a vacation since our honeymoon (almost 1 year ago), and haven't been to the condo in Naples in almost 3 years! cRAzY!! So...I guess that's all I have to say at this point. I'll talk to you soon!!

Crazy Weekend
Well...oh so many things to discuss on this lovely Tuesday morning. I guess I'll start where I left off....last Friday morning my hubby abandoned me to go visit a friend in Seattle. ;) I was SUPER nervous about staying by myself. I went into work as an everyday normal day...then I get a phone call, and my cousin has gone into labor with her first baby. (she was set to be induced the following day) Talk about excitement! I was very fortunate that my boss let me leave mid-afternoon so I could go and be there.
My cousin went into the hospital at 4am...I got to the hospital around 3:45pm, and was able to go back and see her right before they took her for a c-section. She was progressing, but the baby was...for lack of a better term...stuck. Then, at 4:22pm Friday May 8, we had our darling little baby girl. I use the term little loosely....at 10lbs 14oz, she's not exactly petite!! I was able to stick around so that I could go back and visit with her while she was in recovery.
After promising to come and visit the following day I had to scramble to get home! I was hosting girls night, and it was already a little after 6, people were coming at 7, pizza at 7:30, and I had to run to the grocery!! After what I consider a REALLY QUICK trip into the grocery I made it home literally with minutes to spare. As I was unloading the groceries my first guest arrived. It only ended up being 4 of us total, but it was enough to enjoy a good movie (Bride Wars), and good conversation. I did get into a HUGE FIGHT with the pizza people (PaPa Johns), but that is a whole different blog entry. :)
Saturday I woke up, went to get my haircut (no one knew I was going) and got it chopped off! I think he took off 6 to 7 inches. Needless to say, when I went back to the hospital my cousin and her fiance were like WHAT DID YOU DO?!?!? But they liked it, and I got to hold our sweet baby girl. Then I did some shopping with my mom, went back to the hospital...and headed home for my first night completely alone. With having girls night the evening before, I didn't feel so alone, because by the time my last guest left I was completely exhausted and fell straight to sleep. Well, word to the wise when your husband goes out of town, do not under any circumstance sit on the sofa with a bottle of wine and watch P.S. I Love You....B-A-D idea. I was a disaster. Cried like a big goob, and then couldn't get myself calmed down enough to go to sleep. It was pretty ridiculous. I then had to stay up until like 1 or 2am watching Knocked Up so that I could fall asleep. It was pretty ridiculous.
Sunday was Mother's Day. Brunch in the morning, cookout in the afternoon, and late into the night my hubby finally came home. :) I was such a happy girl, and he came home bearing gifts. My most favorite thing in the whole world is Starbuck's coffee. It's my most favorite. He went to the "original" starbuck's and brought me home a mug for home and a travel mug. I was very excited. So that's all for now I suppose. Hope all is well with you, and I'll talk to you soon! xoxo

WHOA!
Wow...so it's been a while since I've last blogged. So much is going on with me!! First, we kept my friends 2 kids last weekend...that was entertaining...at the ages of 7 and almost 5, they were angels except when it was time to get ready for bed. Then the crying began....so we bribed the 7 year old (took a bath with the dogs) and I just told the 5 year old that it was too late for her to go home and she had to stay. Fortunately, she is just little enough that she doesn't know any better and naturally once they were both still for longer than 2 seconds they fell right to sleep. :)
OH...also, last weekend was our 4th Annual Derby Party! It was great fun....we had a TON of people over, and everyone brought a dish, and it was so much fun. The rain held off...but we ended up staying indoors the entire day anyways. We had 2 sets of cornhole, and not one game was played. It was a fantastic day though...and what a Derby! The long-shot won by a LANDSLIDE. It was totally crazy. Then on Sunday my hubby let me sleep in until almost 10. It was awesome. Then I woke up to him having made me coffee, and we watched "Snapped"...and for those of you who haven't ever seen that show, it's on Oxygen, and I highly recommend it. It's really awesome...true stories about people who "snap" and kill their spouses, or ex-lovers or something like that. Sounds insane that I like watching that, but seriously...it's addictive!!
This week has absolutely flown by, and this morning V-E-R-Y E-A-R-L-Y my hubby left to go visit a friend for the weekend. :( I am feeling nervous and anxious about staying in the house by myself for the first time. I'm sure it will go fine...but still a little bit nervous. :) Well, thats really all I have time to chat about right now. I'll try to post again after the weekend. Happy Mother's day to all you mother's!! I'll talk to you later. ;)

Coach...what?!?!?
So...I had decided to "apply" for a cheerleading coach position at my church. I filled out the application form...and yes there really was an application form. I submitted it today...and viola! I am now going to be a cheerleading coach for St. Patrick Catholic School. I have no freakin idea what grade I'll be getting or anything like that, but on a dreary Tuesday when I feel sicky what great news! So I've been doing some research online for everything from easy cheers to more complicated. I kind of hope I get the little ones, but it could be really fun if I had the older girls too. Lots of gym time, and tumbling classes and all that fun stuff! My husband was really excited for me, but poor guy has no idea what he's gotten himself into! Once I know more information I'll let you know. That's really all I have to say now, I've gotta get back to work....but I'll be back this week to talk Derby!! TTFN!!

It's Been A While....
Hello Everyone! It has been a while since I last blogged. Forgive me, but I have had T-O-N-S going on. We got moved into the house and are slowly but surely settling in. The kitchen is good to go, guest bedroom is good to go, office is slowly but surely on its way, family room and dining room are good to go, the loft looks like it's good to go, but the room is so big I think we might need some more furniture. :) The bedroom is a disaster. LOL. It seems that everytime we bring anything into the house and we don't know what to do with it...it goes into the bedroom. Now don't get me wrong, it is definitely cleaner than our bedroom at the old house, my goal for this new house is "Cleanliness next to Godliness" or something like that. :)
Easter was last weekend. The weekend began at noon on Friday for me. I left work and picked up a girlfriend, we stopped by Target just to browse...$40 later we left there and went back to our house to wait for the DirecTV guy. He got there about 2:00ish.....and left at 7:45 after we had already eaten dinner. IT WAS INSANE! Not to mention it was like a monsoon outside with all this rain, and the jackhole tracked mud into my new house on my new tile and new carpet! I was fit to be tied...but at least now we have TV and I can watch all of my shows. We also FINALLY got a DVR. Let me tell you how exciting it is to have a DVR. My husband and I went through and picked out all the shows we like to watch and set them up to record. So we have a ton of random TV shows on there already including but not limited to Jon & Kate + 8, My Wife & Kids, 90210, Desperate Housewives, Biggest Loser, Dancing with the Stars, and I'm sure we'll eventually get some History Channel shows and Discover Channel shows on there as well. :) The thing I like about DirecTV DVR vs Insight DVR....when you're watching a pre-recorded show and you fast forward through the commercials, naturally your "mind" is going to be slightly faster than your hand on the remote....well with DirecTV, when you stop the fast forwarding once you see a character from the show, it takes you back to the end of the previous commercial so you don't miss a thing! IT'S FANTASTIC!!! So...back to Easter Weekend. We had some friends over Friday night and just ordered pizza and hung out. Saturday I went with another one of my girlfriends to be fitted for her Wedding Dress. She looked absolutely amazing...and thinking about it makes me cry. ;) After that we ran a couple of errands, and then back home I went to get the house cleaned up for Easter. My h usband had been out with one of his friends that afternoon, and Saturday night we stayed in and went to bed early. Easter morning began with us getting up at 3:45AM to be at Easter Vigil by 5. Our cousin went through RCIA this year, and so naturally we all wanted to be there to support her...I just didn't know when we signed up it would mean being supportive so early in the morning. :) After Easter Vigil we went back to our house to continue to straiten up and then my Aunt, parents, and brother and his fiance came over to see the house. They all gave us their seal of approval. After checking out the house and watching my Aunt's dvd of their new Florida condo we left for brunch. Brunch was ok. Nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary...just ok. After brunch we headed back to my parents house and just hung out the rest of the afternoon. We were home and in bed really early...but apparently that didn't matter on Monday because it was like the worst day ever. Talk about tired. :) So, thats all I have to say for now. Hope all is well with you, and I"ll talk to you soon!
